It is not taking Representative Barney Frank long to convince fellow lawmakers that the current laws regarding Internet gambling in the US are outdated. Late last week four new co-sponsors signed on to support the Internet Gambling Regulation, Consumer Protection, and Enforcement Act.With the four new co-sponsors, the Bill now has twenty-three co-sponsors to date. All four of the new sponsors are Democrats, three from New York, and one from California.
Of course, California may actually beat Frank to the punch when it comes to legalized online gambling. State lawmakers are discussing a plan that would make online poker legal in California. It is a plan that has tremendous support among the citizens of California.
