Locals Can Now Pay With Their Smartphones - And Save - At All 7 Larkburger Locations
DENVER & BOSTON--()--LevelUp, the free app that enables you to pay with your phone, today announced that it has expanded to the state of Colorado with its launch at Larkburger, a fast-casual gourmet burger chain launched by renowned chef Thomas Salamunovich. Now all seven locations of the restaurant from the Vail Valley to Colorado Springs will accept mobile payments with LevelUp, making it faster and easier for customers to get their beloved burgers, hand-cut fries, ice cream shakes, and more.
“We love working with like-minded partners like Adam Baker and his team. We know that LevelUp is going to provide a super fast, convenient payment experience that's going to make Larkburger even more popular with their customers.”
“LevelUp is on the move towards national expansion, and we’re psyched to break ground in the Rockies with Larkburger,” said LevelUp’s Chief Ninja Seth Priebatsch. “We love working with like-minded partners like Adam Baker and his team. We know that LevelUp is going to provide a super fast, convenient payment experience that's going to make Larkburger even more popular with their customers.”
LevelUp, launched by mobile gaming giant SCVNGR in 2011, is the free app that lets you pay with your phone at more than 3,000 restaurants and shops across the U.S. Available for iPhone or Droid, you simply link up your debit or credit card to the app, which then generates a unique code for you to scan to pay at local businesses like Larkburger. It takes just seconds, and you’re instantly e-mailed a receipt - an eco-friendly LevelUp feature that’s right in line with Larkburger’s dedication to “Keeping it Natural” and minimizing its environmental impact.
Larkburger, a fast-expanding chain that plans to double the number of its locations within the next year, is also employing LevelUp's customer engagement tools. Customers who pay with LevelUp will be rewarded with a $10 credit for every $100 they spend using LevelUp.
“We’re always searching for ways to make our customer experience seamless, and partnering with LevelUp made perfect sense,” said Larkburger President Adam Baker. “Streamlining the transaction process while also rewarding our customers is a win-win for all of us.”

About Larkburger:
In 1999, the “Larkburger” was first featured on the menu at renowned chef Thomas Salamunovich’s fine dining Larkspur Restaurant in Vail, Colorado. Overwhelmed by many years of popular response to the Larkburger, Thomas recognized that a perfectly prepared, all-natural gourmet burger would be appreciated beyond Vail – so in 2006, Larkburger, the restaurant, was born. A fast-casual eatery seemed just the right format to serve this all-American favorite, but with the hallmarks of a fine dining chef committed to natural, impeccably chosen ingredients and a love of truffles. SYSNET SIGNS WITH PHOENIX MANAGED NETWORKS FOR CLOUD-MANAGED MERCHANT FIREWALL SERVICE

For Immediate Release

Sheffield –Monday, 16th July 2012 - Phoenix Managed Networks today announces an international partnership to supply its cloud-managed firewall service to Sysnet Global Solutions, a provider of compliance validation and merchant intelligence solutions with particular focus on PCI solutions.

Sysnet offers a range of services, including its proprietary web based solution SysnetAIRTM to acquirers, ISOs, international banks, payment service providers and merchants in over 35 countries worldwide. This strategic deal will allow Sysnet to offer Phoenix’s cloud-managed firewall service as a private-labelled PCI compliant solution to its payment processing clients and their merchants globally.

Alan Stephenson-Brown, Phoenix’s UK Managing Director said: “The payment security market has recognised that our security service is the superior technology for protecting cardholder data at the merchant location. Phoenix solves many of the complicated technical and networking issues of PCI compliance, especially for smaller merchants who may have little or no IT experience. By offering cloud-managed firewall services, Sysnet and its payment processing clients are on the forefront of the industry’s efforts to help merchants meet the security standards established by the PCI Council efficiently and effectively.”

Phoenix’s managed firewall service has been developed to help merchants easily achieve and maintain compliance with PCI data security standards. It starts at merchant locations, where the Phoenix appliance locks down payment networks to PCI DSS criteria and provides a primary connection to the Internet. Each appliance provides on-site network security, while the central management system is used to configure and apply continuous compliance monitoring tools and safeguards.

Alan Stephenson-Brown added: “Data breaches and payment security problems are on the rise at level 3 and 4 merchant locations, and they need to be tackled head on. Merchants need to realize that connecting payment systems to the Internet brings a new level of security risk. Phoenix offers a quick, plug and play payments security solution and provides a versatile and fully secure retail network environment so that merchants can take advantage of Internet economics without financial peril.”

The adaptable software of Phoenix’s cloud-based management system will be integrated into Sysnet’s compliance management portal, ComplianceMakerTM, and customised to aid Sysnet clients with required Self-Assessment Questionnaires (SAQ) by automatically answering most of the technical questions associated with site security.

Paul Prior, Chief Product Officer at Sysnet Global Solutions, commented: “The simplicity of the Phoenix solution appealed to us immediately, and has already been well received by several of our major card processing clients. Our business is to ensure that payments are secure and that security is simplified for the merchant. We are delighted to be able offer such forward thinking technology, and to partner with Phoenix Managed Networks to bring this kind of industry innovation to the global marketplace.”
