New executive to serve as company liaison between business and financial institutions
PALO ALTO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bling Nation, a provider of mobile payment services that connects financial institutions, businesses and consumers through tap and pay purchases at the point of sale, announced the addition of Matthew Murphy to the company’s executive team.

As general manager for the newly formed Pacific region, Murphy will lead Bling Nation’s outreach efforts to financial institutions and businesses. Murphy brings strong business development and digital media expertise to Bling Nation’s management team.

In his most recent position, Murphy served as vice president of Marketing for Santa Clara, Calif.-based Chegg.com®, the leading online textbook rental company where he directed all marketing and awareness efforts. Prior to Chegg, Murphy was the director of Product Management for Oakland, Calif.-based Ask.com™, overseeing Ask Mobile, Ask News, Ask Kids, Ask Deals and new search opportunities for the company. He also held an executive position at West Palm Beach, Fla.-based Learn2Grow.com®, a green eLearning website, where he lead web initiatives as the vice president of Product Development.
Murphy also served as a senior manager of Advertising and Media at New York-based brokerage firm E*Trade Financial®, where he won several prestigious awards for his work including a Clio, an Effie and a Stevie Award™.
Murphy earned his master’s in Business Administration at William Patterson University, holds a degree in finance from Santa Clara University and attended executive marketing education courses at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
