Businesses can accept credit cards with smartphones or tablets using the mobile payment processing platform
MONTREAL, April 17, 2012 – Pivotal Payments, North America's fastest growing payment processor today announces a partnership with NetSecure Payments to develop a mobile payment application for smartphones and tablets. This application will allow merchants to swipe, authorize and settle credit card transactions without the use of hardwired terminals. It will be released in Canada during Q2 2012 and U.S. availability will follow. Mobile payments are expected to quadruple to $630 billion by 2014, providing an opportunity for sales expansion, reduced credit losses and growth through innovation.

NetSecure’s payment application will be branded to Pivotal Payments and allow merchants to accept credit cards from virtually any location, offering flexible and secure card payments with a cellular-connected mobile device such as an iPhone, Blackberry, Android or iPad. With the addition of an encrypted card swiper that connects into the audio port, the integrated solution is versatile and supported across a multitude of smartphones and tablets.
Led by Android and iPhone devices, over 100 million Americans currently use smartphones and in Canada, they account for nearly 40 percent of the mobile market.
