MoneyGram International and National Bank of Abu Dhabi Partner to Bring Convenience of Mobile Money Transfer Service to Consumers in the UAE

http://www.moneygram.com
Strategic agreement creates first international mobile money transfer network in the UAE
MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--MoneyGram International (NYSE:MGI), a leading global money transfer company, and National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD), a leading bank in the UAE, today announced a strategic agreement that will make international money transfer services via mobile phones available for the first time to the bank’s customers all over the UAE. NBAD is the first MENA bank to allow international remittances via mobile phones to more than 200,000 locations across 190 countries around the globe.
“This partnership with NBAD reinforces our commitment to deliver innovative mobile money transfer products and services and provide consumers with flexibility and choice in how they send and receive money.”
The agreement, which significantly expands MoneyGram’s presence in this important country, will enable NBAD customers to initiate mobile money transfers virtually any time and any where, without the need to go to a retail location. The mobile money transfer service enables NBAD customers with an Arrow account or an NBAD-issued prepaid card to transfer money via mobile phone. Those who have no accounts at NBAD or not holding an NBAD-issued prepaid card can still use the Arrow service by using Visa co-branded prepaid cards.
"We recognize the critical role that mobile technology is playing in the evolution of the remittance market and we are delighted to partner with NBAD to be the first to offer international money transfer services via mobile phone in the UAE,” said Nigel Lee, MoneyGram’s executive vice president for Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asia Pacific. “This partnership with NBAD reinforces our commitment to deliver innovative mobile money transfer products and services and provide consumers with flexibility and choice in how they send and receive money."
UAE has been recognized as a major source of remittances worldwide. The World Bank recently estimated remittances from the UAE to be between $15 billion and $20 billion in 2009 with potential to continue growing in the coming years. In GCC, the size of the remit market is nearly $50 billion. In addition, the UAE has one of the highest mobile phone penetration rates in the world.
“An overwhelming majority of expatriates in the UAE remit money to their families in their home countries. The Bank wanted to bring to the market a product that serves this large demographic. We worked very methodically for more than a year with our partners to fine-tune the Arrow service to ready it for consumers to use it to conduct international remittances,” said John Malouf, the General Manager of Consumer Banking at NBAD. “NBAD understands a key component to delivering quality service is by being a leader in innovation. The Arrow mobile phone payment service and its expansion into international remittance is another example of NBAD’s innovative leadership in the market place.”

Fiserv and MoneyGram Partner to Offer More Bills for Same Day Payment at Financial Institutions

http://www.fiserv.comOnline banking users will be able to make urgent payments to hundreds of billers through a broad combined payment network
BROOKFIELD, Wis.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NACHA Payments Booth #400 – Fiserv, Inc. (NASDAQ: FISV), the leading global provider of financial services technology solutions, today announced a partnership with MoneyGram International (NYSE: MGI) that will enable consumers to pay a wide variety of household bills through financial institution websites the same day they are due.
“Other same day payment offerings currently in the market have suffered from low adoption due to a small number of available bills and a lack of integration into the existing online payment process”
Consumers who pay bills at one of the more than 3,100 financial institutions that use the CheckFree® RXP® online payment service, which includes 23 of the top 50 financial institutions in the United States, will have access to the integrated same day payment option. Initially, bills from more than 100 well-known national and regional companies will be available for same day payment, with the potential to add more than 1,000 additional bills based on consumer demand. Fiserv will utilize MoneyGram’s direct connections with billing companies to deliver the payments.
The bills that will be available for same day payment represent those most common to U.S. households, including auto, mortgage, credit card, utility and mobile phone bills.
Consumers will be able to select same day delivery as part of the normal payment scheduling process, ensuring an uninterrupted user experience at the financial institution website. The expedited payment option will be integrated seamlessly for the user through a drop down menu, and will only appear if a bill is eligible for same day payment.
“Other same day payment offerings currently in the market have suffered from low adoption due to a small number of available bills and a lack of integration into the existing online payment process,” said Todd Lesher, division president, Electronic Banking Services, Fiserv. “Financial institutions can now address these issues by taking advantage of the combined Fiserv and MoneyGram networks to offer a substantial number of bills through a same day payment option that is built into the online payment flow. Offering expedited payments for multiple bills at one website is another way financial institutions can enhance convenience and maintain their position at the center of consumers’ financial lives.”
“Our partnership with Fiserv will enable consumers who pay bills through financial institutions to now also make same day urgent bill payments to the many billers in our extensive network through Fiserv’s leading online bill payment service,” said Dan O’Malley, MoneyGram EVP, Americas. “This partnership is a great complement to the other payment choices MoneyGram already provides to consumers at our more than 40,000 agent locations in the U.S.”
The same-day expedited bill payment option is expected to be available to the more than 3,100 financial institutions that use the CheckFree RXP online bill payment service in the second half of 2010.

HomeATM 's "P2P/Me2Me" Money Transfers

HomeATM Introduces Innovative "Real Time Peer 2 Peer Money Exchange Platform

HomeATM ePayment Solutions has introduced the world's simplest and most convenient real time "Person to Person" or "Me2Me" Money  Transfer Platform.

The new program is the most secure way to send money to anyone...anywhere...from the privacy, convenience and security of your own home.

Here's How Easy it is:
1.  Choose send money
2.  Enter email and Amount
3. Swipe Your Credit or Debit Card and Enter Your PIN

Your Done!  It's that easy!  And it's in "real time!"

Here's a more detailed overview including graphics: (which you may click to enlarge)

1. Choose "Send Money"
2. Enter Recipients e-mail Address

Input your (as sender) email address and then input the recipient's email address. As you can see from the example illustrated on the left, you can do a "Me 2 Me" transaction by inputting your email address as both the "sender" and the "recipient."  Of course you can just as easily send money to a friend, family member, business, etc by entering their email address as the recipient.

3. Enter the Amount you'd like to send.
4. Send Instantly or Schedule a Payment

You may choose whether you want the money transfer to occur in "Real Time" (Transfer Now) or whether you'd like to transfer the money on a specific date of your liking.  If you'd like to choose a "Transfer Date" simply click on the calendar located on the right and select the date you'd like the transfer to take place.  As you can see from the graphic on the left, I chose October 28th, 2008 as my transfer date.

5. Enter Personalized Message

You may then enter your memo.  "Happy Birthday", "Here's the Money I.O.U" or "Others" which will prompt you to type in your personalized message. After you complete typing in your personalized message to the recipient, you will be given the choice of whether to accept responsibility for the transfer fee yourself, or charge the recipient for the amount of the transaction fee.

6.  Swipe Your Card and Enter Your PIN

To complete the transaction, you then simply Swipe Your Card" through your Wedgie. (HomeATM's Personal Swiping Device) Your personal swiping device will read the information off your magnetic stripe so you will not have to manually enter your Personal Account Number or expiration date.

Not only does that make it more convenient for you but it makes it safer, because you are not "keystroking" your PAN.  The card data is instantaneously encrypted thus providing the user with the most secure transaction available on the web today.

But we make it even safer.  After swiping your card, you will then be prompted to enter your PIN.  This provides the users with a dually-authenticated transaction.  After entering your PIN the transaction processes automatically.  You've just completed the world's easiest money transfer!

The email recipient gets an email with a "remittance" ID number and a password.  They copy and paste both the remittance ID and the password at HomeATM's site and are then prompted to "swipe" their card and "enter" their PIN and the transaction is completed in real-time.
